Vintage Find

Today someone gave me a vintage Imperial Camper pocket knife. They aren't really rare, and this one isn't in great shape, but I'm going to clean it up. I remember having one of these as a small child. My dad used to take us camping a lot, so these types of scout knives have a sentimental value for me even though they don't have much monetary value.

  1. I found this type of knife in box of stuff I got from my parents. It was in slightly better but similar condition like you have. Mine also has grooving on the handles where the spoon and fork edges rubbed against it. I used some 3-1 oil with some steel wool and fine grain sandpaper to clean it up. The hardest part was getting down in where the blade and can opener are stored. It doesn't look brand new but it definitely looks better than it did. Good luck with yours. It has bit of the old time cool factor.
