A good camp knife must fulfill several different roles. Some do certain tasks better, like food prep or bushcraft. Having lots of different knives, I will tailor what I bring to what I expect to need them for. If I'm deep in the woods and far away from home, I tend to carry heavier, more serious knives, like the TOPS BOB and the Ka-Bar Eskabar, with a hard-use pocket knife like the Spyderco Manix.
They say the best knife is the one you have with you, and I try to keep that in mind for what I carry.
For a weekend at the lake, or somewhere more casual, where I don't want to carry anything heavy, I have an assortment of lighter, but still capable knives like the Mora and the Delica.
