Photo Gallery: MTech MT-20-30 Fixed Blade Knife

I have always been really picky about budget knives, especially fixed blades. I had reviewed this model previously, and considered it a gem. The sub-10 dollar range has a ton of options for enthusiasts who know where to look. It's a smaller pool of deals if you need it sooner than 30 days, which is about the average from an overseas seller in China.

If you want it in two days, the number of deals under 10 dollars shrinks. I like to give away a bunch of gifts in this price range for the holidays, and I like to order extra gifts with two day shipping just to have it covered in case some of the gifts I order for China take a while to show up. I get a lot of value for my money by waiting 30 days and having a few padding gifts like these little MTech MT-20-30 fixed blades. I bought a couple for gifts, but I had given away my tan one previously and missed it, so I decided to keep the black one this time. These are pretty good as hard-use backups to whatever EDC I am carrying at the time, and well worth the 9 bucks-ish each I paid for them.

Hard to get a sense of how tiny this knife is until you see it in someone's hand

  1. I have to admit that I fell in love with my MTech M-378 folding knife for the simple to-do tasks during the day, and as a backup EDC when walking my dog. I've been able to sharpen it very easily and it holds its own for quite some time. I bought it for less than $10 on Amazon and my father (who is a Kershaw fan) saw it and was so impressed he had me purchase a bunch for him to give friends as christmas gifts. So far they all love it and although I carry a SOG as an EDC, Mtech creates some surprisingly good knives for the money. Definitely a good value if creating a budget setup. I hear their fixed knives are just as good in value too.
